A bold new business launched in Wagga is set to take the heartache out navigating aged care and disability services for Riverina residents.

Wagga women Leanne Sainsbury and Julie Quade have combined their decades of professional experience with their lived knowledge as parents of young adults with complex NDIS needs to create Unleashed Futures, a dynamic online and face-to-face resource for the Riverina community.

“We recognise the overwhelming challenge of navigating the availability of quality support,” Leanne said.

“We’re providing that direct resource online which goes above and beyond what I have seen anywhere else, and especially because it’s targeted to the Riverina.”

The women have poured their savings into setting up the online service, backed up with a physical location above Cincotta Chemist on Baylis Street, where individuals and families can tap into local knowledge of providers and available services.

“We just honestly want to have people living their best life and to have the power to make their own decisions based on access to information and resources,” Leanne said.

The online and face-to-face service is open to Riverina residents who may be just starting to look for aged care or disability-friendly housing and services, through to those seeking help with housing or conflict resolution.

The service is also designed to be a research tool for providers and care coordinators.

“Coordinators don’t have a lot of time to go out and show different homes, or SDA homes, meaning they just give clients a small variety, whereas now these people can go online themselves have a view and then say, ‘hey I’ve looked at this one. Is it alright?’,” Julie said.

The comprehensive support resource has an annual cost of $99 per year for individuals, or $1499 a year for premium access.

“It’s an introductory offer until the end of October and that includes 10 to 12 hours of consultation with us,” Leanne said.

“So if you’re feeling a bit lost as your family member just got diagnosed with dementia and you don’t know what to do or where to go, we can help as we have access to all the resources,” Leanne said.

”Come in and sit with us and we can help design a plan for you and point you in the right direction to services that we can link you with.”

Unleashed Futures can be contacted on 0488 550 812, at [email protected] or at 3/157-159 Baylis St, Wagga.
