Do you recognise this woman? A search is underway to find the owner of this mobile phone that was in a lost property box for seven years. Photo: Marguerite McKinnon.
She’s an attractive blonde lady with a gorgeous smile, holding a young girl who could be a granddaughter, but somebody must know who she is.
Region has been asked to help track down the owner of this lost mobile phone, whose only clue is the screen wallpaper picture.
The Good Samaritan leading the hunt is Wagga Wagga Community Care Physiotherapist Suzanne McKinley, who found the phone during an office clean-up.
“We’ve been decluttering the office, and in our printer room we found a small pile of lost property from 2019 in a cupboard, and the phone was included in that little bag of lost property,” Ms McKinley said.
It’s believed the phone was found in the community carpark outside what is now “Wagga Wagga Community Care” at 19-31 Peter Street. A note with the phone was dated 19 May 2019, meaning it has been forgotten for seven years.
The phone had long gone flat but when it was recharged, the date showed January, not April, but the picture and not the date, is the clue.
“We hope someone claims it as there’s maybe some photographs on it. Maybe memories. Who knows?” Suzanne said.
“We have about 50 staff here who are community nurses, a palliative care team, transitional aged care, respiratory failure nurses, geriatric and more, but nobody recognises her so I put it online on the (Facebook) Wagga Community Notice Board. We don’t know if she’s a Wagga resident or a visitor that just dropped it in our carpark,” she said.
Anyone who can help is invited to contact Wagga Wagga Community Care on (02) 5943 1600. This NSW Murrumbidgee Health District office is open Monday to Friday 8 am – 4 pm.
