An accident near the corner of Kidman Way and Old Willbriggie Road in Griffith is affecting traffic in both directions on Friday morning (27 February).

“Multiple paramedic crews responded to a single truck crash just after 7:15 am,” a NSW Ambulance spokesman said.

A helicopter also rushed to the scene.

It’s understood the vehicle veered off the road, trapping the driver inside.

Ongoing police investigations are expected to take some time and drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible.

As at 9 am, traffic diversions are still in place for vehicles travelling in both northbound and southbound directions.

Unless specified otherwise, operators of Class 1,2 and 3 vehicles travelling under a notice must consult their relevant enforceable network map to confirm a suitable approved alternative route.
