Motorcycle rider ejected from bike after accident in Gumly Gumly

Police are appealing for information following a serious crash in Wagga last night.

At about 6 pm on Thursday (12 June), emergency services were called to the Sturt Highway, Gumly Gumly, near the intersection of Bakers Lane, following reports of a car and motorcycle crash.

A passerby stopped and assisted the 23-year-old male rider who was ejected from the bike, before NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived and treated him for serious injuries.

The man was taken to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital in a serious condition.

The 39-year-old female driver sustained minor injuries. She was also taken to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital for treatment and mandatory testing.

A crime scene was established and an investigation commenced, with assistance from the Crash Investigation Unit.
