Man to face court over alleged domestic violence offences in Albury

A man will face court following alleged domestic violence offences in Albury.

At about 3 am on Wednesday (31 December), officers attached to Murray River Police District attended a home on Bateman Place, North Albury, following an investigation into alleged domestic violence offences.

Police arrested a 37-year-old man by virtue of an outstanding arrest warrant.

He was taken to Albury Police Station where the warrant was executed. He was charged with:

  • Possessing housebreaking implements
  • Contravening an AVO prohibition/restriction in AVO (domestic violence)
  • Stalking, intimidating with the intention for somebody to fear physical harm
  • Committing a section 114 offence (being armed with the intention to commit an offence) while having a previous conviction.

He was refused bail to appear before Albury Local Court on Tuesday next week (13 January 2026).
