Man in Leeton arrested after allegedly filming a woman through a bathroom window

A man in Leeton was arrested on the weekend after allegedly filming a woman through a bathroom window.

At about 7:30 am (Saturday), Murrumbidgee Police were called to a home on Cassia Road, Leeton, following reports of this incident.

Officers attended and were told the woman had grabbed a man’s phone after it was held up to the bathroom window.

The man, aged 28, was arrested at the scene and taken to Leeton Police Station.

A crime scene warrant was conducted at a home on Cassia Road, where police seized several electronic devices.

The man was charged with six counts of filming a person in a private act without consent and one count of possessing child abuse material.

Police will allege in court the man had also previously filmed a 16-year-old girl.

He was refused bail and appeared before Parramatta Local Court on Sunday. He was taken into custody, where he remains.
