Man airlifted to Canberra Hospital after car hits tree in Temora

A man has been airlifted to Canberra Hospital and a woman taken to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital after a single vehicle crash in Temora this morning (12 September).

Emergency services were called at about 4:30 am after reports of a car hitting a tree on the Goldfields Way highway near Airport Street in Temora.

The female driver, aged in her 20s, had back and shoulder pain and was transported by road to Wagga’s Base Hospital.

The male passenger, also in his 20s, was trapped in the vehicle and had to be rescued by Fire and Rescue NSW and NSW Police.

He had facial injuries and possible limb fractures and was taken by helicopter to Canberra Hospital.

The road is now open to traffic in both directions.
