Property developer JZ Homes has announced it will build 700 houses near Lake Wyangan, a project called Lake Gardens Estate.
“They’ve already got development application (DA) approval to build the homes and they’ll start constructing in 2025,” marketing director Belinda Johns said.
“Their vision is to build ‘turnkey’ homes in which people can just move into ready-built houses; the design and landscaping will already be done.
“They want to create communities; they’re doing something different to everyone else.”
The 700 homes will be built alongside a large public oval and gardens and parklands scattered throughout the development.
JZ Homes has already built six sleek homes as part of its Enclave on Maher project, which is located in the Clifton Gardens Estate in Collina. Some of these properties have already been sold and some are still available for purchase.
“Enclave on Maher is more than just a collection of homes; it’s a reflection of JZ Homes’ commitment to building high-quality, sustainable communities that enhance the lives of residents,” JZ Homes co-owner Giuseppe (Zep) Lanza said.
“We are proud to be providing quality housing that meets the demands of a growing community.”
A further 20 homes are planned for construction within Clifton Gardens in 2024/25.
The three projects will help alleviate the chronic housing shortage that has plagued the city and surrounding area since 2018. The lack of houses for sale has been a key factor is the average price of property rising by 65 per cent over the past six years.
To celebrate its achievements to date and share its future plans, JZ Homes is hosting a “Discover Enclave and JZ Homes” event from 10 to 11 am on Thursday 26 September, at the recently completed Enclave on Maher development.
The event offers guests a chance to tour the completed homes, meet the JZ Homes team, and learn more about upcoming developments like Lake Gardens Estate.
Attendees can also enjoy a casual networking opportunity with key trades and community partners who have contributed to the success of these projects.
“Lake Gardens represents the future of sustainable, community-focused housing in Griffith,” co-owner James Scremin said.
“This project will not only provide much-needed housing but also offer residents access to green spaces, recreational areas, and a close-knit community atmosphere. We are excited to support Griffith’s housing goals with this large-scale development.”
