Murrumbidgee Police have arrested a man alleged to have been involved in a number of malicious damage offences in the Collina area.
At around 6 am to 7 am on Sunday morning (14 September), vehicles in Hillam Drive and Citrus Road allegedly had their tyres slashed by two males who had their faces obscured with the hoods of their jumpers.
The males are believed to have travelled along Hillam Drive from the direction of Calabria Avenue towards and along Citrus Road.
Police put out the call for anyone with CCTV footage of the males from 6 am to 7 am on Sunday morning to supply this footage to Griffith Police.
On Thursday (18 September), officers arrested and charged a 19-year-old Griffith man in relation to his alleged involvement in these incidents. The man was charged with entering a vehicle without consent and destroying or damaging property. Bail was refused by police and he is to appear before a bail court in Sydney on Friday (19 September).
Initial bail hearings used to be heard locally in Griffith, but these matters are now heard before the Parramatta Bail Court.
Investigations are still underway in relation to the second alleged offender, and police ask anyone with information or CCTV footage to come forward to police or call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
