Most embarrassing pantry item: It’s not from the pantry but the most embarrassing we have is sausages.

What ingredient can we not live without? We can’t live without salt and garlic.

Best coffee spot in Wagga: Vanilla Pod, of course!

Next big thing in the Wagga food scene: With the new shopping centre, we want to see more Indian restaurants that cater to street food.

A must-try on our menu: The macadamia pesto pasta and avocado smash.

Our biggest culinary influence:
Richa –
I’ve always been inspired by my mum.
Gourav – Myself and Masterchef.

Favourite cookbook: We don’t have a favourite cookbook but we love watching Masterchef.

Who we admire in the Wagga food and wine scene: We admire Saigon Restaurant on Morgan Street.

What are this week’s specials at Vanilla Pod? Salmon fillet with steamed beans and aioli.

Our least favourite food: We both don’t like burgers.

Our COVID-19 response: COVID was a tough period for us. It impacted all of us in the hospitality industry, but it is slowly getting better.

Our top three cooking tips. Always cook fresh food. Don’t use frozen food. Use a steel pan for cooking.

Vanilla Pod is open seven days a week. It is located at 4/135 Baylis Street, Wagga.
