A South Coast mum says she’s “ecstatic” after a vulnerable missing teen was found safe and well at Junee near Wagga Wagga earlier today, 25 October.
Cody Nevin, 15, was last seen on the Princes Highway north of Milton on the NSW South Coast at around 7 pm on Friday, 20 October.
Cody lives with autism, ADHD, and mental health issues and he is dependent on medication, which heightened his family’s concern for his well-being.
The family believed he may have met up with someone he had been talking to online and were deeply worried that the person or people he was communicating with may have had harmful intentions.
Officers from the South Coast Police District received information that Cody could have been in the Tuggeranong, ACT, area, but extensive inquiries failed to locate the missing teen.
Then today his family received the good news that he had been found and were on their way to be reunited with him.
Cody’s mum, Rebecca Warren, said she was “ecstatic” and “relieved”.
“All I know is that he has been found. We are on our way to Wagga now,” she said.
“Thank you so much to everyone for everything they have done to help us locate him.”
In an earlier message to her son, Rebecca said: “Codstar Nevin, you are not in trouble. We all love you so much. Please let us know you are OK buddy”.
