A person has died following a truck and car crash on the road between Griffith and Darlington Point.
At about 6:15 am on Friday (4 April), a sedan was travelling north along the Kidman Way, Wilbriggie – about 26 km south of Griffith – when it collided with a truck carrying two trailers travelling south, about 100 metres south of the intersection with Marston Road.
The car caught alight, however Rural Fire Service (RFS) firefighters extinguished the fire a short time later. The driver of the car died at the scene.

They are yet to be formally identified.
The 59-year-old male driver of the truck was taken to Griffith Base Hospital with minor injuries.
Officers attached to Murrumbidgee Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.
The Kidman Highway was closed in both directions with local diversions in place. Up-to-date traffic information is available via www.livetraffic.com.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
