An Albury doctor has been charged over the alleged sexual touching of a patient during a medical appointment four years ago.

Police said officers from Murray River Police District began investigating in December 2025 after receiving a report that a woman had allegedly been sexually touched during a visit to a doctor in Albury in July 2022.

Following an investigation, police issued a 51-year-old man with a Court Attendance Notice on Thursday (October 1) for allegedly sexually touching another person without consent.

He is due to appear before Albury Local Court on Tuesday, 22 December.
