Two women and a 12-year-old girl have been assessed by paramedics after a two-car crash at an infamous Wagga Wagga intersection on Wednesday morning (2 September).
NSW Ambulance said paramedics and NSW Police were called to the intersection of Gurwood and Beckwith streets at about 9 am.
“One of the cars was found rolled over onto its roof,” a NSW Ambulance spokesperson said.
Paramedics assessed a woman in her 30s, who suffered minor injuries, mostly to her arm.
According to the NSW Ambulance spokesperson, she refused to be taken to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital and was treated at the scene.
A woman in her 40s and a 12-year-old girl were also assessed at the scene and had no visible injuries.
Both were taken to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital for further observation.
Traffic disruptions were in place following the crash, but the road was later flowing normally in both directions.
The intersection has previously been described by nearby residents as a crash hotspot.
In January 2022, The Daily Advertiser reported three crashes at the Gurwood and Beckwith streets intersection in the space of three weeks.
In one accident, a car flipped, with two people suffering minor injuries. A woman in her 40s needed assistance to get out of her vehicle.
