Risque all-male dance ensemble Sydney Hotshots will perform at Wagga’s Victoria Hotel on Saturday 29 November and the SS&A Albury on Friday 23 January.
“It’s a two-hour show full of fun, fantasy and romance that we’ve done for girls all over the world,” compere Paul Reynolds said.
“We do 150 shows a year and the guys are all professionally trained. It’s full of dance routines, like you see in the movie Magic Mike.”
While the show is not for the prudish, Mr Reynolds says it’s certainly not X-rated either.
“The guys take their shirts off, you see bums but no frontal nudity,” he said.
“Girls under 18 can come in, as long as they don’t drink. I would say it’s M-rated. But it’s not for everyone, there’s a fair bit of bump and grind.
“There are cheeky routines that are choreographed. The pants might come down and show a bit, but it’s done tastefully. We know we can’t go too crazy, because the girls will go back and tell their husbands, who won’t let them return to our shows.”
The 49-year-old is a former actor who used to tour the world with rival act Manpower and its headliner Jamie Durie.
“I left school and I was going to become an accountant, but decided that wasn’t for me.
“I did a bit of acting, was in shows like Home and Away and a few movies, then I toured with Jamie. He was personable and charismatic; he was always destined to be a celebrity.”
Mr Reynolds said his Sydney Hotshots group was similar to Manpower but better.
“There’s live action and plenty of audience participation. The girls are invited on stage for all types of purposes,” he said.
“We have a car wash routine where the girls are on their chairs, the guys take their shirts off and the girls wash their chests with the shirts.
“Even I take my shirt off during the show. I still have my six-pack; I can keep up with the younger guys, except when they go out for drinks after, I go home for a cup of tea.”
Contrary to popular belief, it’s not just women who make up the audience.
“We get a lot of gay guys, curious guys, boyfriends and husbands. If they’re gay they can join in with the routines, the girls love that. It’s just a fun night for everyone.”
Sydney Hotshots will perform at The Victoria Hotel, 55 Baylis Street, Wagga on Saturday 29 November and at the SS&A Albury, 570 Olive Street, Albury. Tickets are available through the eventbrite website.
