Sit down and feel humble, Canberra, bill-topper Kendrick Lamar is headlining Spilt Milk’s return to the Capital this year.

Fresh off the back of co-headlining the Grand National Tour with SZA, this will be Lamar’s first time back in Australia since 2022.

With hits like ‘Not Like Us’, ‘King Kunta’ and ‘euphoria’, expect Lamar’s setlist to be stacked.

He’ll be joined by Billboard Woman of the Year Doechii, who’s making her first visit to Australia since the release of her 2024 Grammy Best Rap Album-awarded mixtape, ‘Alligator Bites Never Heal’.

Known for her quick-witted tracks like ‘Nissan Altima’ and ‘Denial is a river’, the Florida swamp princess will bring the heat.

Rounding out the headline acts are ‘High Priestess of Hard Techno’ Sara Landry, singer/songwriter and rapper (and Euphoria star) Dominic Fike and prolific American rap legend ScHoolboy Q.

Also stepping on stage this year will be US-based indie-pop artist d4vd, burgeoning US pop star Nessa Barrett, South Sudanese powerhouse Skin On Skin and indie-rock breakout sombr.

You can also catch Perth-based Indo-Australian artist and DJ Baby J, Texan artist and producer Chance Peña, Sydney-based UK speed garage and jungle producer Club Angel, and the sultry, soulful Don West.

Sydney’s Ennaria will perform a dynamic, genre-crossing set, and singer-songwriters turned globally viral artists Esha Tewari and Lyric will deliver their own performances.

Pop fans can drink their fill with Mia Wray, local hyper-pop pioneer Ninajirachi and electronic-infused pop polymath, Rebecca Black.

Rounding out the lineup is alt-rock group Rum Jungle, Californian-born, Gold Coast-based artist Sofia Isella, and local favourites South Summit, folk duo The Dreggs and indie rock darlings, The Rions.

Spilt Milk’s large-scale art exhibitions, food and boutique bar experiences will be back as well.

Festival staples include Guilty Pleasures, the Howdy Howdy country bar and Bus Da Move, the party bus where the riders conduct the tracks. Previous editions have also seen a rave cave from Smirnoff Fresh and a celebration of Colombian picó sound system culture with El Gran Mono.

This year’s art exhibitions will feature artists from Studio A, an art studio dedicated to empowering artists with disability, and Victoria Park Arts’ Create Connect Art initiative, which holds open studio sessions that allow artists with disability to explore different visual art mediums and projects.

Furthering their art collaborations, the festival’s artwork features a piece from Dutch artist and designer Jerry-Lee Bosmans, renowned for his vibrantly coloured and bold compositions.

Spilt Milk will be in Canberra on Saturday, 13 December. Sign up for pre-sale tickets.
