Officers attached to Traffic and Highway Patrol Command responded and found a car had left the roadway and struck a fence.
Police conducted a roadside breath test that allegedly returned a positive reading.
The 28-year-old driver was arrested and taken to Gundagai Police Station where he was subjected to a secondary test, allegedly returning a reading of 0.294. The legal alcohol limit is 0.05.
The man’s license was suspended.
