A man and woman rolled their ute and injured themselves after they were allegedly caught hunting illegally in Condobolin, a small town two hours north of Griffith.

At about 3:45 pm on Tuesday (20 May), a 22-year-old woman allegedly found two people – a 20-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man – hunting illegally on a property near Kiacatoo Road.

Upon seeing the 22-year-old, the man and woman attempted to drive away in their vehicle before it rolled, injuring the man.

After the 22-year-old approached the crash and called triple zero, it is alleged the two people threatened her with a knife and assaulted her, then took her vehicle before leaving the location.
