Muse Pilates will soon be stretching out into the Riverina with a new studio to open its doors on Baylis Street.
Muse CEO Allana Ford opened her first studio in Dulwich Hill (NSW) in 2019 after discovering Pilates for herself during a stint of physiotherapy. After reaping the benefits, Ms Ford looked to share Pilates with the rest of the country and has since opened 13 studios across NSW and the ACT, with more on the way.
“Muse Pilates has always been about creating welcoming spaces for movement and community, and Wagga Wagga is a perfect fit for this vision,” Ms Ford said.
“We recognised the opportunity to bring something fresh and inspiring to the Baylis Street end of town, giving locals a central and accessible hub to experience the benefits of Pilates and enhance their overall wellness.
“Pilates is so much more than building muscle and improving posture; it’s about moving better, feeling better, and unlocking confidence in your everyday life.
“For those new to Pilates, we’d say it’s low-impact, adaptable for all fitness levels, and works wonders for both physical and mental well-being. Whether you’re looking to boost athletic performance, recover from an injury, or simply carve out time for yourself, Pilates is a game-changer.”
Ms Ford and the team at Muse Pilates have been working for the past five years to secure the best possible team and atmosphere to create a safe and enjoyable space for its members and she hopes to continue that trend in Wagga.
“Muse combines industry-leading instructors with an atmosphere that feels like a second home,” she said.
“Our focus isn’t just on movement but on creating an empowering and inclusive experience for everyone who walks through the door.
“We pride ourselves on staying ahead of trends, integrating the latest techniques, and building a community that inspires connection both inside and outside the studio.”
Ms Ford said she was over the moon to have secured a location for the new studio on Baylis Street and was looking for a local franchisee to take the studio to the next level.
“The location couldn’t be more ideal,” she said.
“It offers convenience and a vibrant setting that reflects the energy we aim to bring to the studio. A local’s touch and knowledge of the community can lift the studio’s connection and success, making this a great investment opportunity for someone passionate about fitness and community-building.”
While Muse Pilates is still working out details of its development application with Wagga Wagga City Council, Ms Ford said she is still confident the studio will open its doors in the first half of the year.
“We’re excited to share that we’re on track to open in the second quarter of this year,” she said.
“Our team is hard at work finalising every detail to ensure we’re ready to welcome the Wagga community into a beautiful, functional and inspiring space.
“We’ll have a variety of options tailored to different lifestyles and goals. These include introductory offers for newcomers, flexible class passes for those with busy schedules, and unlimited memberships for those who want to dive in fully. Our memberships — ‘Flexi’, ‘Limitless’ and ‘Muse Unlocked’ – are designed to make Pilates accessible and exciting for everyone.
“Additionally, we’ll be hosting workshops and special events to deepen the community connection.”
