As I travel across the Cootamundra electorate attending school presentations, I am filled with pride at the achievements of our young people.
Thank you to the teachers, support staff, parents, and carers whose dedication has guided and supported these future leaders — we are in safe hands.
This time of year is more than school celebrations; it’s a season to come together as a community, reflect on our shared accomplishments in 2024, and look ahead to the opportunities and challenges of 2025.
With thousands of kilometres behind me and countless conversations across the electorate, I’ve seen both the strengths and the vulnerabilities of our small communities.
I remain deeply grateful for your support and for standing with me in championing rural and regional issues.
I also want to thank the incredible volunteers whose tireless commitment keeps our towns and villages connected. As we enter 2025, I remain dedicated to advocating for critical issues like rural health services, regional roads and transport, and small school education – to name but a few.
In my role as a Shadow Minister, I will continue to address statewide issues concerning our Crown lands and water security, both of which are vital to our future.
A special thanks to all who work during the festive season — emergency services, police, healthcare workers, and those keeping essential services running. Your efforts ensure we can all enjoy this time safely and smoothly.
If you’re travelling over the Christmas and new year break, please stay safe on our roads and waterways. As always, I will be close by during the weeks ahead and look forward to seeing many locals out and about.
For those who are spending this time out of our area, our paths will no doubt cross again somewhere in the electorate in 2025.
Wishing you and your loved ones a joyous Christmas and a happy, healthy new year.
