Man charged after police allegedly find hydroponic cannabis setup in Griffith

A man has been charged after an alleged cannabis hydroponic set-up was discovered in the Riverina.

Police said Murrumbidgee Police District officers executed a search at an abandoned business in Sidlow Road, Griffith, about 8:30 am on Thursday (31 October).

Police allegedly seized 10 cannabis plants and a hydroponic setup from a shed on the property.

A 33-year-old man was arrested at the scene, taken to Griffith police station and charged with cultivating a prohibited plant and possessing a prohibited plant.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Griffith Local Court on 11 December.

The plants were destroyed.
