A man will face court after allegedly shining a laser at a police helicopter flying over North Griffith.

Detective Sergeant Colleen Hayden informed Region the incident allegedly occurred at 10 pm on Saturday (19 October).

A helicopter from the Police Aviation Command (more commonly known as POLAIR) was tasked with aerial patrols over the Griffith region.

While POLAIR were above Mayfair/North Griffith, they were allegedly targeted by a green laser pointer which was traced to a driveway in Parkinson Crescent.
