Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) has announced the date for its 2024 annual public meeting and is calling for questions on notice from the community.
The meeting will be on Thursday, 21 November, and will be livestreamed via a webinar starting at 1 pm.
MLHD said the event would provide a chance to reflect on the health district’s achievements and performance.
“It is an opportunity to reflect on the 2023-2024 year and provide an overview of the organisation’s achievements, activities, and performance,” it said.
“Members of the public will have the opportunity to post questions to the panel of speakers.”
Aunty Mary Atkinson and Aunty Cheryl Penrith are set to give the Welcome to Country on the day of the meeting.
MLHD board chair Adrian Lindner will present a strategic overview, while chief executive Jill Ludford will deliver the year in review.
Director of finance and performance Kevin Lawrence will provide an update on finance and performance.
The meeting will also include the presentation of the 2024 Don Kendell Memorial Leadership Award.
“The highlight of the MLHD annual calendar – the 2024 Don Kendell Memorial Leadership Award presentation – will conclude the event,” MLHD said.
“This award is presented annually to an emerging leader who reflects the values of aviation pioneer Don Kendell. Excellence, professionalism, and integrity are key attributes, along with the ability to inspire team spirit and lead change.”
Members of the public who wish to submit questions to the panel of speakers can do so via email to: [email protected].
