Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a teenage girl missing from Wagga Wagga.

Abbey Alderton was last seen in Tolland at about 8 pm yesterday (26 September).

She is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 155 cm tall, of medium build, with blonde hair, and brown eyes.

The 14-year-old was last seen wearing black tracksuit pants with a rose graphic on the side, a black shirt, and a jumper.

When she could not be located, officers attached to Riverina Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns due to her age.

Abbey is known to frequent Wagga Wagga and Albury areas.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is urged to call the police on triple zero or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. Information is treated in strict confidence. The public is reminded not to report information via NSW Police social media pages.
