A 37-year-old man has been charged over alleged stolen goods in the Riverina.
Police said officers were called to a property on Little Billabong Road, Carabost, at about 8 am on 14 April following reports of people allegedly trespassing.
Officers from the Murray River Police District attended and commenced an investigation.
Following inquiries, police executed a search warrant at a home on Tumbarumba Street, Humula, on 1 May, and allegedly located and seized a large amount of stolen property, including three firearms.
Police will allege the items were stolen from properties in southwest NSW, including Wagga Wagga, Brucedale, Forest Hill, and Dubbo.
Earlier this week (18 June), a 37-year-old man attended Wagga Police Station where he was arrested and charged with 13 offences, including hunting animal game on private/public land without a licence, two counts of having goods in personal custody suspected of being stolen, using a class A vehicle with an unauthorised number plate affixed, larceny, two counts of possessing unauthorised firearms and two counts of supplying stolen firearms.
He was refused bail and appeared before Wagga Wagga Local Court on Thursday (19 June) and was granted conditional bail to reappear before Wagga Wagga Local Court on 1 July.
