Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) has been notified of 20 new COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours to 8 pm yesterday.
This brings the total cases in SNSWLHD to 362 since the start of the current outbreak in June.
Of the 20 cases:
- Nine new cases are in the Queanbeyan Palerang region. Seven cases are linked to known cases. Three are in Jerrabomberra, one is in Bungendore, three are in Queanbeyan and two are in Karabar.
- Two new cases are in the Goulburn Mulwaree region and are under investigation.
- Six new cases are in the Snowy Monaro region. Five are linked to known cases. Five are in Jindabyne and one is in Thredbo.
- Three new cases are in the Bega Valley region. One is linked to a known case. One case is in Beauty Point, one is in Bega and one is in Cobargo.
SNSWLHD has been notified of new venues of concern associated with COVID-19 cases.
Anyone who visited Club Bega on Sunday 3 October between 11:30 am and 1:30 pm or 3:30 pm and 8 pm is considered a casual contact and must immediately get tested and isolate until a negative result is received. Staff will be contacted separately by SNSWLHD’s Public Health Unit regarding their testing and isolation requirements.
Other venues of concern include the Tathra Friendly Grocer, Fat Tony’s Bar Grill and The Wharf Locavore.

Southern NSW Local Health District has opened a pop-up COVID-19 testing clinic this weekend following the announcement of new venues of concern in Tathra and Bega.
The drive through clinic at the Old Bega Racecourse is open today, Saturday 9, Sunday 10 and Monday 11 October from 8 am to 4 pm daily. No booking is required.
To access the testing clinic, vehicles need to enter from Auckland St, turn right onto Jacksonia Grove moving towards the corner of East St. Traffic control will be in place.
Health authorities anticipate higher demand than normal for testing over the next three days and they are advising people to take snacks and water in case they need to wait.
COVID-19 testing will also be available at South East Regional Hospital from 8 am to 4 pm daily.
