Who are you and what is your business? My name is Kerrie Docker, and my business is Table Top Pots.
Where did you begin? I began working with clay at high school. I had two very supportive art teachers who recommended that I study ceramics. I completed my degree in ceramic design in 1989 at Bendigo College of Advanced Education (now La Trobe University).
What do you produce? I make a wide range of functional tableware. The majority of my work is thrown on my pottery wheel. I love to make things that are beautiful, but I also want you to use them every day. My most popular items include coffee mugs, bowls, mozzie coils and oil bottles.
What do you sell that makes a great gift? Mozzie coil holders tend to be a popular gift item and have proven to be a favourite with Kris Kringles. Most of my range is suitable for gift-giving and there are options for small gifts like spoon rests or garlic graters, through to larger items such as serving bowls and platters. These are very popular as wedding gifts.
What would you make if you could make anything? My favourite things to make are bowls, from small to very large, but really I just enjoy the process of making wheel-thrown items.

Where can we buy your products? My products are available at my studio shop in Table Top, the Self Made Market store in Lavington Square, MAMA Albury, the Jindera Village Post Office, and various markets throughout the Riverina region.
How would you promote the Riverina? I think that the Riverina is a great place to live and visit. We have excellent local food and wine, and there are many waterways and natural features to visit. The region has a diverse population, with people from many different cultures making their home here.
Coolest local thing I’ve ever bought? A beautiful handmade bag from ‘Peppercorn accessories’. I purchased it at the River and Wren Market in Wagga.
Where’s your favourite place for a cuppa? If I ever want to meet with a friend for a cuppa or lunch, I love Guru’s Star Cafe on Dean Street, Albury.
Who is another local producer you admire? I love the work of Kurt Saggers (@kurthecat on Instagram or The Cats Pyjamas on Facebook). Kurt makes a large variety of products, often using recycled materials. My favourite are his earrings – I have a pair for every occasion!
