A man has been shot during an alleged home invasion in Griffith over the weekend.
Police said emergency services responded to reports a man had been shot at a home on Carrathool Street, Griffith, at about 11:15 pm on Saturday (16 March).
Officers from Murrumbidgee Police District were told three men forced their way into the premises through the front door where the occupant, a 44-year-old man, was allegedly shot in the left leg.
A second male resident of the home was also allegedly threatened with a firearm but was not injured.
The three males then left the premises.
The injured man was driven by the other male occupant to Griffith Base Hospital, where he was later transferred to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital and remains in stable condition.
A crime scene was established, and detectives have commenced an investigation into the incident.
Police said there is no ongoing risk to the community.
