As the year draws to a close, the Riverina is gearing up for a night of joyous festivities and celebration.

There’s something for everyone, from enchanting fireworks displays to lively street parties and rooftop revelries. Here’s a sneak peek of the festivities.

You can ring in the new year in the Riverina with family and friends and enjoy the dazzling fireworks display at Lake Albert.

To enjoy live music and welcome 2024, head to Wagga Wagga Boat Club or Leeton Soldiers Club, where you can watch the New Year’s Eve fireworks on a giant five-metre screen.

If you’re looking to party your heart out, join the Coolamon NYE street party or 90s-themed party in Albury.

NYE Fireworks at Lake Albert

When: Sunday 31 December, 6:30 to 10 pm, fireworks at 9:30 pm
Where: Apex Park Lake Albert, Lake Street, Wagga
Cost: Free.

Pack your rugs and folding chairs for a spectacular fireworks show at Lake Albert on New Year’s Eve. It will feature live music, food trucks and family-friendly activities and the highlight of the night – an on-water fireworks display at 9:30 pm.

Coolamon NYE Street Party

When: Sunday 31 December, 6 to 10 pm
Where: Cowabbie Street, Coolamon
Cost: Free (kids’ zone passes will be available).

Head down to Cowabbie Street with your family and friends to join the fun street party packed with activities and entertainment.

Wagga Wagga Boat Club NYE Party

When: 31 December, 2 pm bar opens, 4:30 pm DJ on deck, 8 pm ticketed event
Where: The Boat Club
Cost: Tickets are $25 and can be purchased from the Boat Club. Call 6926 2300.

Head to Wagga Wagga Boat Club to celebrate the new year with some fantastic live music from the Riverina’s most followed band, F-Truck. Pre-ordered cheese platters are available and there’ll be a buffet on the night.

NYE Bottomless Brunch + 90s Party on the Rooftop

When: 31 December, 3 pm to all night long
Where: Albion Hotel, Albury
Cost: Free entry. Book to secure a spot. Bottomless Brunch $69. Bookings are essential.

Dress up in your best 90s look and party all night at the Albion Hotel. Those who want to start the celebration much earlier can join the bottomless brunch.

NYE at The Soldiers

When: Saturday 31 December, 8 pm
Where: Leeton Soldiers Club, corner Acacia and Yanco Ave, Leeton
