It’s shaping up to be a huge week across the region.

The much anticipated Winter Bites Festival will roll into Tumbarumba for its first iteration, while the Aussie BBQ Festival in Queanbeyan will keep bellies full and hearts warm.

A Merimbula Town Producers’ Market will showcase the best of the area, while amateurs will have a chance to play golf with professionals in Moruya.

You can also visit historic Cooma Cottage in Yass, try your hand at making sauerkraut in Michelago, or upcycling with Millie Hocking in Wagga Wagga.

There’s a ceramics course with Emma Fleetwood in Jugiong, and an opportunity to meet and speak to Meredith Jaffé about her new novel in Goulburn.

Whatever you decide to do, it’s sure to be a good time.

Have a great week, everyone!

Meredith Jaffé Author Talk

Where: Goulburn Mulwaree Library

Author Meredith Jaffé will be in conversation with Goulburn Mulwaree Library staff about her latest book, The Dressmakers of Yarrandarrah Prison. Inspired by real events, novel is funny, dark and moving.

It’s a poignantly comic story about a men’s prison sewing circle, and as unlikely as it sounds, it’s based on a real men’s sewing organisation, Fine Cell Work, which operates in prisons throughout Britain teaching inmates needlework and quilting.
