Police said emergency services found a 36-year-old woman, her two sons, aged 10 and 11, and her 12-year-old nephew dead at the scene.
A crime scene was established, and investigations began into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
During the investigation, a 32-year-old man was charged, and he remains before the courts.
Following extensive inquiries, Chattaway was arrested at Griffith Police Station at about 1 pm on Friday (23 June).
