A Griffith woman will face court after she was accused of stealing more than $755-worth of groceries from Griffith supermarket ALDI with three companions.

At about 3:10 pm on Sunday 25 January, police will allege the 35-year-old woman drove her blue Holden Commodore into the car park of the supermarket on Oakes Road with three other women. All four women entered the supermarket and commenced shopping.

Police will further allege that between 3:15 pm and 3:40 pm, the group walked throughout the store, placing various items into two shopping trolleys.

At about 3:40 pm, two of the women allegedly pushed the two trolleys out of the store without paying for the items.

The four females allegedly walked to the 35-year-old’s vehicle, loaded the stolen groceries into the car, and left the location. These actions were captured on the store’s CCTV.

Police will allege the stolen groceries were worth in excess of $755.

On Wednesday last week (18 February), police attended the home of the 35-year-old woman, where she was placed under arrest, taken to Griffith Police Station and put into custody. The woman was then charged with the theft of the groceries and will appear before Griffith Local Court on 25 March 2026.
