Brawl at Griffith fast-food outlet results in man being flown to Sydney hospital

A man has been flown to a Sydney hospital after being injured in a brawl in Griffith last week.

About 9:30 pm on Wednesday (11 February), two men aged 23 and 31 attended a fast-food restaurant in Jondaryan Avenue, where they allegedly became aggressive towards staff. Two nearby customers intervened.

An altercation allegedly took place outside the store, with the 31-year-old falling to the ground and suffering a head injury.

Ambulance and police officers were called and treated the injured man before he was flown by helicopter to St George Hospital in Sydney.

Investigations are continuing, and police are asking anyone who may have been at the store and witnessed the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or Griffith police on 6969 4299.
