A body has been found in the search for a man missing in Lake Cargelligo, about 90 minutes north of Griffith.

About 3 pm on Saturday (17 January), emergency services were called to the boat ramp in Lake Street in the small Riverina town after reports a 41-year-old man had not surfaced after falling off a paddleboard.

The paddleboard was recovered, and a multi-agency search began by officers from Central West Police District with the assistance of specialist police from the Diving Unit, Rescue and Bomb Disposal Unit, as well as a Volunteer Rescue Association crew and SES personnel.
