Police seize cannabis plants, cocaine and steroids from Lake Albert home

Police have charged a man with drug offences after a grow-house was located in Wagga.

At about 7 am on Friday (9 January), officers attached to the Region Enforcement Squad, with assistance from the Southern Region Operation Support Group and the Riverina Police District, executed a search warrant at a home in Lake Albert.

Officers seized six cannabis plants, 2.37 grams of cocaine and vials of liquid steroids.

NSW Police released photos of the drugs found.

A 50-year-old man was arrested and taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station.

He was charged with cultivating a prohibited plant greater than small and less than the indictable quantity, and two counts of possessing a prohibited drug.

He was refused bail and appeared in Bail Division Court 5 on Saturday, where he was granted conditional bail to appear in Wagga Wagga Local Court on Wednesday, 4 February 2026.
