Griffith man arrested after 48 tyres slashed on Banna Avenue

Murrumbidgee Police have arrested a 29-year-old man in relation to the malicious damage of 13 cars.

At 1:10 pm on Wednesday (29 October), officers executed a search warrant at an address in Binya St and arrested the suspect after multiple cars had their tyres slashed while parked on Banna Avenue Griffith at about 3:15 am on Tuesday (28 October).

Police will allege a total of 48 tyres were slashed or punctured. During the search warrant, police seized several items of clothing that police will allege were worn by the man during the alleged offences.

The man was taken back to Griffith Police Station and charged with 13 counts of destroying or damaging property. He was refused bail by police and will appear before Parramatta Bail Division Court on Thursday.
