Two teenagers will face Children’s Court after an alleged armed robbery of a petrol station in Griffith last week.
At about 8:40 pm on Thursday (19 September), two males entered the outlet on Griffin Avenue, allegedly armed with a pistol and a hunting knife.
The pair allegedly threatened the store attendant, before the attendant handed over cash.
The pair fled the scene west along Merrigal Street.
Murrumbidgee Police responded to the incident and launched an investigation.
At about 4 pm the following day, officers arrested a 16-year-old boy at a home in Griffith.
He was taken to the police station where he was charged with two counts of robbery whilst armed with a dangerous weapon.
Police will allege in court he was also involved in a robbery at a business in Hams Street on Thursday 11 September.
At about 6 pm on Friday, officers also arrested a 15-year-old boy at a home in Griffith.
He was taken to the police station and charged with robbery whilst armed with a dangerous weapon and refused bail.
Officers executed warrants at two homes, allegedly locating a replica firearm.
