A man in his 90s has died after a vehicle crashed into a tree on Australia Day.
Police said emergency services were called to Rands Tank Road, Currawarna around 50 km northwest of Wagga Wagga, after reports of a single-vehicle crash just after 2 pm on Sunday (26 January).
Riverina Police District officers found a Suzuki Swift hatchback had crashed into a tree.
The driver, a man believed to be aged in his 90s, died at the scene and is yet to be formally identified.
Police established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
